Sanctuary When Alland, a young Iranian man, begs to be given sanctuary at St Mary’s church in a northern town, it sparks a community to react in all the ways each member believes to be right. Some call for his protection. Others for his removal. But both sides take justice into their own hands…

‘Sanctuary’ is a brand-new musical that welcomes us in and asks the question: Do we want safety and freedom for only ourselves, or for us all? A vital story of one man’s hopes for help and support in a time when not all strangers are welcomed.

With a chorus drawn from students at Wakefield’s CAPA College, Boff Whalley ('We’re Not Going Back') and Sarah Woods’ musical mixes hard-hitting ideas with memorable melodic tunes and harmonies.

Show & Tell by Alan Ayckbourn Jack’s planning a big party for his wife’s birthday. He’s pulling out all the stops and has booked a touring theatre company to perform in the main hall of the family home. The only problem is that Jack is getting a bit forgetful in his old age and can’t remember all the details of the booking…
The Homelight Theatre Company is on its knees. They desperately need a well-paid gig and Jack’s booking is very well paid. Pinning him down on the details has been tricky and something doesn’t feel quite right.
Alan Ayckbourn’s 90th play is a celebration of theatre, a delightfully dark farce lifting the lid on the performances we act out on a daily basis.
